We have been following a 40 years old fig tree in Zone 7 (highlands of MidWest Türkiye) at an elevation of 850m. Finally, had a chance to taste and picture the fruits. Fruiting started around August 20 (10 days late compared to last year) and continues up until now (October 15). It is and early to mid season variety. Fruit taste is great with a complex aroma. The tree experienced -23 C in 2015 and each year experiences between -15 C and -19 C with no damage. We named it temporarily TR7z23c.
Grown in 5lt containers,
1 year old, 40-60cm+,
Will be shipped between November and March as a bareroot tree.
